Knitting and Crochet Group
Whether or not you are experienced at knit and crochet or just learning, please join us for this time to work on your own projects. Yarn, tools, advice and encouragement are available. 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.

Needlework Group NEW!
Come stitch with us! Bring your own needlework, embroidery and cross stitch projects to work on in an encouraging, social environment. Raven Fagelson, a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework’s certificate program, will be on hand to assist you with your own projects. Group meets every second Sunday of the month. No registration required.

Achievers Activity Group
Like to try arts and crafts, or movement, music and song? Like to learn new things, listen to stories or just enjoy laughing with friends? All intellectually disabled adults (and their aides) are welcome to our Achievers Activity Group on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.

Rope Basket Making (waiting list)

Recycled Flowers
Fiber Arts Guild of Pittsburgh member Kitty Spangler will teach you how to make lovely flowers made of non-traditional materials like plastics, paper, cardboard, and other usually discarded materials. Students make single flowers and/or arrangements beautiful enough for the mantle or dining room table. Class meets Tuesdays, February 11, 18 and 25. No special skills are necessary, and all materials and supplies are provided. For adults (ages 12 and above). Registration required. $5 suggested donation.

Charcoal Drawing
Charcoal is a versatile material with the ability to create amazing three dimensional effects and detail. Learn how to maximize the properties of the medium, practice with the corresponding materials and create multiple unique artworks. This material is messy so wear clothes that you feel comfortable getting dirty. Please bring a black and white image for inspiration. Images will be provided for those who do not have one.
Jena Schieb has created programming for children, teens, families and adults at Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts as Director of Studio Arts for six years. She is a teaching artist with a Master’s Degree in Education, providing art education for students at every age and level in schools and community and cultural organizations like the Carnegie Museum of Art. Registration required. This is a three-part class March 9, 16 and 23. Plan to attend all sessions and register below for all sessions. Materials provided.

Basic Handsewn Books and Pamphlets
Fiber Arts Guild of Pittsburgh member Kitty Spangler will teach you how to make small, handsewn books using basic materials: paper, card stock, ruler, knife, bone folder, awl, and thread (no paste or glue). We’ll cover the 3-hole pamphlet stitch, concertina book, Japanese stab binding, and more. Class meets Tuesdays, March 10, 17, 24 and 31. No special skills are necessary, and all materials and supplies are provided. For adults (ages 12 and above). Registration required. $5 suggested donation.
