What's a Maker Space?

Our Maker Space is a fun educational environment that offers a central project area and a computer lab.  It’s a free and unique resource that offers a safe place for patrons to express creative ideas without fear of failure, makes the latest technology accessible to those who may not otherwise get to experience it, and promotes the development of real world applicable skills, such as engineering, the arts, and technological literacy for patrons of all ages.  Maker culture encourages learning-through-doing with an emphasis on recycling or re-purposing existing material.

Project Area Features:

  • Table with seating for 10 attendees and instructor.
  • White board wall for presentations and sketching projects.
  • Ample arts & crafts supplies (paper, paint, fabric etc...)
