MT. LEBANON PUBLIC LIBRARY

TITLE:                        Hours of Opening

REPLACES:             August 8, 1991

PURPOSE: To state the operating hours of the library.

STATEMENT OF POLICY:

The library exists to serve the information needs of the community, and because those needs extend beyond traditional business hours, the library will be open the maximum number of hours allowed by its budget. Those hours will be determined for patron convenience subject to budgetary restraints.

The library’s hours will be:

   Monday through Thursday        9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
   Friday and Saturday                9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
   Sundays (Sept.-May)                1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
   Sundays (Sunday before Memorial Day through Sunday before Labor Day) Closed

Holidays the library will be closed include:

   New Year’s Day            Evening before Thanksgiving – close at 5 p.m.
   Easter Sunday             Thanksgiving Day
   Memorial Day               December 24
   Independence Day        Christmas Day
   Labor Day                    New Year’s Eve – close at 5 p.m.

On Holidays, books may be returned in the book return box.
