  • Current Opportunities
  • Creating Flannel Board Figures

  • An individual with "artistic" ability who would like to make flannel board figures for the children's staff to use at story programs. These are usually made from felt and illustrate rhymes and simple stories. Please contact Judy Sutton in Children's.
  • Delivery Volunteer for Deposit Collection

  • The library needs a volunteer to deliver 75 items to the Baptist Manor every six weeks. Upon delivery the volunteer would also be required to pick up and return to the library the previously deposited collection. Please contact Mardi Centinaro at (412) 531-1912.
  • Shelf Reading and Collection Shifting

  • Help is needed with shelf reading and shifting of library materials, such as books, audio and DVDs. Please contact Mardi Centinaro at (412) 531-1912 or contact us online.
  • Gardening

  • Gardeners are needed on a voluntary basis for the library gardens including the courtyard and surrounding garden areas. Please call Garden Committee chairperson Nancy Smith at (412) 344-0234.
  • Watering

  • We need volunteers to water the flowerbeds and potted plants in the library's courtyard. This would be a two-hour per week commitment through September. Please contact Nancy Smith at (412) 344-0234 or Judy Sutton at (412) 531-1912.
  • Publicity

  • Help is needed with publicity pieces such as brochures, posters, and fliers. Familiarity with Microsoft Publisher required. Please contact Judy Sutton at (412) 531-1912 or contact us online.
  • Video Volunteers

  • Help is needed with the video section of the library. Please call Julie Mareino at (412) 531-1912 or contact us online.
