Although we are a terrific crew of volunteers, we can always use more help in sorting, stocking and selling books. The Book Cellar is a lively place to spend a few hours per month and a wonderful way to contribute to the Mt. Lebanon community. Please send us an email or leave a note at the Book Cellar if you would like more information about this rewarding and fun volunteer activity.
The books we sell mainly come from the generous patrons in our community. To drop off books, CDs and DVDs, please use the library's lower level entrance, turn left and proceed towards the end of the corridor. The drop-off area is behind the poster board of Big Ben Roethlisberger. Although we appreciate your support, we also ask you to donate only lightly used, resaleable items. Please do not leave magazines and VHS tapes. We spend considerable time and energy sorting through the donations and you might be surprised to learn that many of them are not usable. Again, please continue to donate to help make the Book Cellar a great success! Your contributions are tax-deductible.
To help raise funds for the library, volunteer "Chef" Simone Geuer leads our catering service, The Fine Palate, to cater your next event. Creative, healthy cuisine will be presented with imaginative place settings and decorations at your home or at the library. If you have a Book Club or literary event, or you want to help the library, please call 412-343-0181 or send us an email. All proceeds benefit the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.
