Computers and Internet
The library has public access computers, Wireless Internet access and computer instruction to help you navigate the information superhighway.
  • Public Access Computers
  • The library has 50 computers that are available for public access to the Internet, using Microsoft Office software and doing all kinds of things.
  •
  • Wi-Fi - Wireless Internet Access
  • The library has installed a wireless network to allow patrons to connect to the Internet from their own laptop or PDA virtually anywhere inside the building. The library calls this service the Wireless Commons because of how it extends the ability of patrons to use our Internet resources beyond the 50 library-owned public access computers.
  •
  • To connect, stop by the Reference Desk or check out the simple online setup instructions.
  •
  • Please keep in mind that, regardless of who owns the equipment, while in the library you are bound by the terms of the library's Computer and Internet Policy.

  • Public Computer Classes
  • The library has group of volunteer tutors who can teach you one-on-one how to use a computer to get on the Internet, email or use various software. Please call the Reference Desk at 412-531-1912 to see when a tutor is available.
